Mini Fundamentals Development (4.6-5.11 yrs) 

Start tennis this summer in a small group setting! Prepare your child to excel at tennis and sport with our fundamental movement program. We have fun developing students’ balance, jumping, throwing, catching, and racquet skills. Enjoy various complimentary activities that aid in motor skill development and body awareness, as well as cooperation and self-regulation.

Take your game to the next level! An opportunity for players with some experience with the game (2.0 – 3.0 NTRP rating) to refine their technical and tactical skills. Through game-based learning, students will improve their ability to play within cooperative and competitive settings. This class will be taught by Summer Smash Directors.

Adult Advanced Clinic (18+yrs)

Gain a competitive edge this summer! An opportunity for experienced players (3.0 - 4.0 NTRP rating) to refine specific aspects of their game, particularly in relation to doubles. Following a collaborative assessment at the start of the lesson series, a curriculum is designed to meet the needs and goals of the participants. This class will be taught by Summer Smash Directors.

Logistics

  • All students MUST print off our activity waiver found on our website and bring a signed copy to the FIRST class

  • Children's lessons take place at McBride Park  (5th Ave and Waterloo St)

  • Adult lessons take place at McBride Park and Tatlow Park (2nd Ave and Macdonald St)

  • Students are expected to bring their own rackets and dress in athletic attire with athletic shoes

  • Students are expected to wear sunscreen and a hat, and bring water

  • In the case of rainy or questionable weather, classes may be cancelled. The instructor will contact you. Refunds will be issued at the end of the session.

  • No class Monday, August 1 (B.C. Day)
